Pamela Blair cast in the BBC Proms production of ‘Oklahoma!’ at the Royal Albert Hall

24th July 2017

Pamela graduated from Laine Theatre Arts in 2016 and went on to perform in the Ensemble of Cinderella at the London Palladium last Christmas. She also recently performed at the Charlotte Olympia Fashion Show, choreographed by Alistair David.

The Proms celebrated its 123rd season in 2017 yet still remains true to its original aim: to present the widest range of music, performed to the highest standards, to large audiences.

Oklahoma! was the first collaboration of Rodgers & Hammerstein. The original Broadway production opened in 1943 and was a box-office smash resulting in national tours and productions around the world.

Set just after the turn of the 20th Century, the spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the backdrop for the love story between Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a beautiful farm girl. The road to true love is anything but smooth.

Proms favourite John Wilson and his orchestra return to bring their signature energy and swagger to this beloved classic. This fully staged production will be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, with choreography by Alistair David.
